COMPANY SECURITY OFFICERS COURSE (CSO)

The Company Security Officers Course (CSO) is a mandatory requirement for those looking to manage Ship Security Officers (SSO) or when working with multiple ships or vessels.

This course usually takes 4 days to complete, Clearwater are approved to run this course in 3 days. 

Upon successful completion of the course, you will receive a certificate of achievement. This certificate will be fully authorised by the Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) which will allow you to conduct the duties of a CSO and SSO as listed in the International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code, which is an International requirement for all shipping and the security of vessels.

This three day course covers:

• Understanding of the ISPS code (International Ship & Port Security)
• Provide Knowledge for the Company Security Officer (CSO)
• Construct and understand a Ship Security Assessment (SSA)
• Construct and understand a Ship Security Plan (SSP)
• The roles of the Company Security Officer (CSO), Ship Security Officer (SSO) and Port Facility Security Officer (PFSO)
• Relevant Security Equipment and understanding their use
• Piracy hotspots

Other  specialist  subjects  covered include:

• Knowledge of SOLAS (Safety of Life At Sea) legislation
• Search Plans and Techniques
• Threat Assessments
• Profile of a Terrorist and Terrorist Groups
• Weapons and Improvised Explosive Devices

The cost for the Company Security Officers (CSO) Course is £650.00




To guarantee your place on the course you can pay either the full fee or a deposit of £200
If you pay a deposit only, the remaining payment is due three weeks before the course start date.
 
This fee includes full teaching, certification fees and VAT. It does not include food or accommodation.
